Overview
Sundowner is made by Billie Workers Cooperative ("Billie", "we", "us" or "our"). This policy covers the Sundowner app for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch, including its widgets and complications.
The short version: Sundowner collects no data. It has no account, no analytics, no crash reporting and no advertising code, and it makes no network connections, to us or to anyone else. Everything it needs ships inside the app, and everything you save stays on your own devices.
What We Collect
Nothing. We receive no information from Sundowner about you, your device, your location or how you use the app. The app has no server to send anything to.
Location
If you allow location access while using the app, Sundowner reads your device's location to centre the map and drop a pin where you are. That happens on your device. Your location is never sent to us or to anyone else.
Location access is optional. You can decline it, or turn it off later in Settings, Privacy & Security, Location Services, and drop pins by hand instead.
What Stays on Your Devices
Your favourites, the names you give them and your settings are stored on your device. iOS includes them in your device backups, including iCloud Backup if you have turned it on. Those backups are between you and Apple. We have no access to them.
Apple Watch and widgets
The iPhone app sends your favourites and their schedules to your own paired Apple Watch using Apple's WatchConnectivity, and writes them to a container shared with the app's widgets on the same iPhone, so the watch app, complications and widgets can show them. This data moves only between your own devices.
Deleting Your Data
Delete a favourite in the app to remove it. Delete the app from your iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch to remove everything it stored. We hold no copy, so there is nothing for us to delete.
Third Parties
Sundowner contains no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking code, and it does not track you across apps or websites.
Apple distributes the app through the App Store and gives us aggregate statistics such as download counts. If you choose to share analytics with app developers in Settings, Privacy & Security, Analytics & Improvements, Apple may also share crash reports and usage figures with us. That sharing is run by Apple under its own privacy policy and is controlled by you.
When You Contact Us
If you email us, we receive your email address and what you write. We use them only to reply to you. We do not add you to a mailing list, and we delete your correspondence on request.
Your Rights
Privacy laws such as the GDPR (European Economic Area, United Kingdom, Switzerland) and the CCPA/CPRA (California) give you rights to access, correct, delete and port your personal data, and to object to its processing. Because Sundowner collects no personal data, we hold none from the app to act on. For anything you have sent us by email, contact privacy@billie.coop and we will respond within 30 days.
We do not sell or share personal information, and we do not use it for advertising, profiling or automated decision-making. Billie Workers Cooperative is the data controller for any correspondence you send us.
Children
Sundowner is not directed at children. It collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, we will update it on this page and change the "Last updated" date above. If a future version of Sundowner ever collects data, this policy will say so before that version is released.
